Meeting the 5th generation

Sara's grandparents were driving through with her great grandmother today and they stopped to see Finn. Here are some pictures of the boy with them. The blue and tan quilt you see him with in one of the pictures was made by Nanny Louise who is in the picture with him. More to come later, keep checking back.

8/30/08 - More pictures and thoughts

Well, we are home now and things are shaping up as best as can be expected for a 4 day old. You can see a couple of shots from the hospital and at home. I think you can see the toll that this boy is having on me and a lack of sleep below, but he is completely worth it when he is napping on me with his arms spread out like he is giving me a hug. More pictures to come, keep checking back.

8-27-08 Groggy this morning

Well, we survived our first night as parents, but it was a long one for sure. It is so nice to be able to call someone to take him away to sleep though. I hope that service continues after we leave the hospital. Finn slept pretty well (yeah, that'll last) and was just as sweet as can be. I am now in danger of becoming the blogger who goes on and on about the smallest things, so I will leave it at that. Keep checking back. Love you all!

More pictures of Finn

Finnegan James Keeth has arrived!!!

Well, Finn is here now and Sara did such a great job! Finn came out at 9lbs 1oz and 20.75 in. He is perfectly healthy and has a great set of lungs on him. He will be able to get some great volume here pretty soon. More pictures to come. Love you all and can't wait for you to see him.

The day is finally here! After almost 9 mos., we are inducing today! We rolled into Labor and Delivery at 8:00 and they put us in a room right away. So far so good. Sara is keeping busy knitting a sweater and booties for Finn. She looks beautiful, doesn't she? More to come today.

35 weeks... feeling sort of gianormous now.
I'm sort of hoping we don't get a 40 week picture. I'm hoping he comes before then.

30 weeks... I am feeling very cute and pregnant at this point.

25 weeks...

Me at 20 weeks...

Me at about 15 weeks... just feeling fat.

Welcome to the blog

Normally I would consider myself tech-savvy, but I have to admit that it is 2008 and this is my first blog. I just wonder how people have time. But I've realized that I don't have to post every single day - that once a week (with photos) should keep all of the family happy. Heck, maybe even Granny Wanda will get on the web someday. That would be something!

who knows... I might also post clever links or recipes or other stuff. So keep your eyes & ears open.
