"Thanks, Dad."

Scene One: Finn is watching Mighty Machines on DVD (it's just what it sounds like).

J is holding Liam on the couch. Finn turns around and starts to explain to Liam what is going on on the DVD.

"Wiam, babble babble babble mah-sheens. Wiam, mah-sheens babble babble."

Then Finn is watching the Mighty Machines garbage truck episode.
"Cool!" he says.

"It looks cool, but that's why you need to stay in school," J says.

Finn looks up at him. "Thanks, Dad."

Scene Two: Bedtime.

We are saying prayers and singing Jesus Loves Me and getting ready to put Finn into bed. J is holding him, bouncing him around and roughhousing.

J stops for a moment, kisses Finn and says,
"Love you, Finn."

Finn puts his head on J's shoulder.
"Thanks, Dad."

Gianni with swollen face

Day 3 after having his wisdom teeth out. Finally able to smile again. He does a great Marlon Brando impression.

Liam - 3 months old

My sweet Fitzwilliam is three months old.

I can't believe it. Has there been some kind of time warp?
Where has the last month gone?

He is laughing and "talking" now.

He sleeps through the night, sort of.

Last night he slept 11:30-6 and then 6:30-9am. So we'll count that.

He loves to talk to Mommy and Daddy. He likes to be warm.

He loves to snuggle and he also loves to stand up (while you hold him, of course).

We think he is the sweetest thing.

The reindog

Finn got this "reindeer dog" for Christmas. He calls it "puppy" and now has to sleep with it at night ( in addition to Kitty Cat). He told us that Puppy likes to sleep with his head on the pillow.

Cutest. Baby. Ever.

The Arboretum in January

It was a beautiful 60 degree day today, so we made good use of our Arboretum membership (thanks, Ron & Roberta!). J is taking his paternity leave this month, and we're having great family time.
