On Mother's Day, we had the annual baby dedication at our church. The babies born in the past year come up to the front with their families, and our close friends and our life group come up and pray over the babies and bless them. They also commit to help to raise them, similar to what you would think of as a godparent. (did you know you were in for that, life group? ha! gotcha! now you're stuck with us!)

This year, I sang a blessing over the babies.
The song is by Twila Paris and is called "Your Whole Life Long." It was pretty sweet.

Finn just watched me the whole time -
except when he would suddenly demand that Jonathan give him a piece of cereal.

But overall, really sweet.

Here's Isaac. Isaac and Finn are just a couple of weeks apart. He's a sweetie!

And I LOVE his hair.

Here's Noble. Cool name, huh? He has a sister named True. Their parents are pretty groovy.

Here's Lydia. Yeah, that's her mom with the jeans and the flat stomach.
If she weren't such a nice person I would really be irritated about that.

I did take her a really fattening casserole the other night. Yeah, I really showed her!
It was a special Mother's Day for me. Actually, since it was my first Mother's Day as a mom, I'm not sure I would know any different, but Jonathan really went all out to make me feel loved and blessed. He's an awesome guy. And I have the cutest little boy E-V-E-R.
