Laid-Back Labor Day

This year, my sweet husband's birthday fell on Labor Day. He was born on Labor Day, but his birthday only falls on the holiday every so often. This year, we spent his birthday/Labor Day as a relaxed family day together. We went to breakfast, hung out all day, and had sushi for dinner (veggie sushi for me, since pregnant people can't eat raw fish, blah blah blah). Finn tried sushi for the first time - he wasn't sure about it. J had cherry pie instead of birthday cake. It was a nice day.

"Quietude"
It was nice to have a relaxing day after the weekend - on Saturday, I cleaned out Finn's dresser & closet, and Jonathan painted the baby's room. It's painted Sherwin Williams "Quietude," in case anyone wants to know. We actually picked it because they just painted our church lobby, and we LOVED the color, and even though we got several other test cans, that was our favorite. Besides, how can you not love a baby's room painted in "Quietude"?

We gave Finn his birthday presents from us - an easel and a balance bike. We like to spread the presents out a bit, rather than overwhelming him with all his presents in one day.

He loves his bike, but does not want to wear his helmet.

Thanks to all of you who helped J and Finn celebrate their birthdays!
