moon onions

First I should tell you that Finn loves onions. Green onions, especially. If he sees me chopping some up he will beg for "un-yuhs!" I can't leave them sitting on the cutting board, because he can reach the counter and will eat them all when my back is turned.

So tonight I made Asian chicken lettuce wraps for dinner. They had cashews and celery in them. He picked out the veggies and ate them, which is what he usually does (the kid loves his veggies). Finn kept pointing at the bowl sitting on the table and saying "moon!" We figured he was talking about the cashews, which do look like little golden moons. He then asked for "moon un-yuhs" over and over. We finally realized he wanted some more celery, which we gave him. He ate it, but seemed a little disappointed that it didn't taste quite like "un-yuhs."
