We had a big time at Christmas at my parents' house. All 29 (yes, 29) of us had Christmas Eve and Christmas dinner together. It was great! We forgot to take a group picture with everyone, which I am still beating myself up over. Jonathan's mom came, too, so Finn had LOTS of grandma time!
We always have lots going on for Christmas stockings. Finn got this cute stuffed dog, which he played with for the rest of the morning. Jonathan got a flying monkey that screeches when you catapult it through the air. It was kind of scary. I got lots of cute stuff, including a BIG pile of books— my fave!
We also went on a double date with by brother and sister-in-law while the grandparents kept the boys. That was nice! We don't get to see them enough. We went and ate at Red Robin and my brother tried to convince us to read a book about the History of Calculus ("no, it's really good," he said). Then we saw Four Christmases, which made us laugh but won't be winning any awards.
It was just really fun to see the extended family. My family is loud, silly, funny, and we love each other very much, even when we drive each other crazy. I think that's the best kind of family to have. Don't you?
